Airbrush Tanning Body Bronzing is what we do best! Our expertly trained technician will apply a DHA based airbrush spray onto your skin. DHA is a sugar-based compound derived from sugarcane and has been approved by the FDA for sunless tanning applications since the 1970's. When it is applied to the skin, it reacts with the amino acids to produce a tan, much like the sun does, but without any damage to the skin. Our process is very unique because we offer a "customized color" that is suited to your skin color/type.

Our process does not involve spraying everyone the same color; our artist will actually mix the color after she views your skin and has discussed your desired results. You will walk out of our salon absolutely glowing and feeling transformed! No-one will know that you are airbrushed because we have perfected our applications to the hands and feet.

Need to know information before you come to see us:

Avoid skin products with oil or petrolatum in them for at least 2 days prior to your session. Read your bottles so you can be informed of what you are placing on your skin, very important!

Shower and exfoliate your entire body preferably a couple hours before your session. Shave all necessary areas. Your skin should be clean, dry, and free of all make-up, moisturizers, deodorant and perfumes when you arrive.

Wear dark, loose fitting clothing (preferably jersey material) and thong flip flops. You do have the option to tan nude (female only), but if you choose to wear a bathing suit make sure it is dark in color as well.

We advise you to bring a towel or cloth to place over your car seats as the colorant could rub off on the upholstery.

What to expect after your tan:

Your session will last 10-15 minutes.

After you are sprayed, your skin will feel tacky to the touch, this is normal. It is important for you to know that you must be very careful with your skin for the next few hours.

Avoid any water contact with the skin (see “cautions” for a detail list of things to avoid)

Your tan will continue to darken over time; however the cosmetic bronzer darkens at a faster rate than your actual skin. Don’t be alarmed if you feel you are becoming too dark as some of the chemical will wash off with your first shower, revealing the skins true color.

Wait at least 8-12 hours before showering. Use only approved soaps and shampoos (this is extremely important to the longevity of your tan). When you first shower you will notice excessive amounts of color washing off. This is the chemical bronzer that has not been absorbed into the skin and is a normal process of the spray tan.

After your shower, pat dry. Do not rub dry.

Liberally apply our specialized moisturizer (see attendant for more info). We recommend a twice daily application. Skin hydration is imperative to the success of the tan.

Your face naturally exfoliates at a much faster rate than the rest of your skin. It is normal for you to lose the color on your face after about 2 days following the spray. If you want to maintain a darker complexion we would recommend a separate facial bronzer that can be applied as needed.

Weekly tanning visits are recommended to maintain optimal results.

Cautions:

Use only products designed for our spay tanning

Inferior products can cause change of color or blotching. • Do not wear tight fitting clothing, jewelry, etc. at least 8 hours after your spray. • Do not place purse on the shoulder or arm. Carry in hand. • Do not rub your skin; apply lotions, makeup, etc. until after your post shower. • Do not sit directly on car seats or furniture without using a towel or cloth after your tan. • Do not take hot baths, use hot tubs or swim in chlorine and salt water. • Avoid exercising until after your post shower. • Avoid manicures and pedicures the day off your spray, unless performed by one of our technicians that are trained in dealing with spray tans.

The following is a list of chemicals, etc. that have been known to shorten the life of an airbrush tan:

• Dove soap and shower gel • Mineral oil and petroleum based lotions (Curel and baby oil). • Hair inhibiting Lotions (Jergens) • Any anti-aging products that exfoliate. • Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic, Lactic, Malic, Citric, and Tartaric acids) • Beta Hydroxy Acids (Salicylic acid) • Retin-A products (Renova, Tazorac, and Tretinoin) • Toners containing Alcohol or Witch Hazel • Anti-acne medicine that exfoliates( Accutane, Salicylic Acid, or Benzoyl Peroxide) • Makeup removers • Loofas, scrub mitts, and washcloths. • Bandaids or any adhesive tape. • Facial masks or scrubs • Biore type facial strips • Waxing. Wax prior to your tan. • Hair removal creams( Nair, Veet, or Neet) • Shaving. Use a sharp blade with a lubricating product to eliminate over exfoliation. • Rubbing dry after bathing. Always pat. • Hair bleaching products. • Submersion in a hot tub or swimming pool. • In women, some cases of abnormal tanning have been noticed during ovulation, menstruation, and pregnancy. • Oily skin.
